Jim Cowan on DFX Gyros
“I got this Powerball and the concept is pretty simple. The ball inside spins and rotates creating resistance. And thankfully this grips on here because this thing really gets going. I like to work out with my gyro and keep it rotating closer to my body so I’m working out my forearms more than anything else. This is super great for your wrists and fingers and you get a really nice workout for your hands. You can even switch hands and continue your motion, I dig it, it works the you know what out of your arm! Me personally, I try to fire up my arms and i work it so fast that it almost burns my fingers a little, it’s pretty cool.”

Andrew Williams on MyDFXPro
“Since 2010, I have set out on a quest to become the Re/Max World Long Drive Champion and the longest driver in golf. At first, I had no idea how to become longer off the tee. I did bench press, pull-up, etc., and nothing seemed to work. In early 2011 at a sporting goods store, I picked up a power ball, and it has been my secret weapon ever since. Since that time, I have used my gyro everyday and gained an average of 10 miles per hour club-head speed and 30 yards off the tee with my new personal record now at 410 yards in competition and a max club-head speed of 147. I would urge anyone who wants to be a longer and more accurate golfer to give DFX gyro a try.”

Kyle McDaniel
DFX Pro Staffer and Pro ATV racer Kyle McDaniel has been riding for over 13 years. Kyle’s approach to racing is to never give up and to always race to his full potential.
Here is what Chris has to say about his DFX products:
“I have been racing ATV’s for about five years. I am a smaller guy and my grip and forearms have always been a downfall for me. I would get arm pump and lose hand strength. After using my DFX Sports Pro I have seen a BIG difference and my endurance is a lot better. I don’t get arm pump anymore and I can ride a lot longer without having to take breaks to give my arms rest. I also broke both wrists (one in 2007, the other in 2010) and had screws put in both of them. It helps me relax my wrist and also warms it up. I am also a firefighter/EMT and it has helped with my strength and control.”
He has raced the Road Runner Off-Road, D-38 desert series, and WORCS series. He raced Sportsman ATV in the 2007 Baja 500, as well as the 2008 SCORE series. The SCORE Series includes the Baja 250, Baja 500 and the Baja 1000. Kyle is also a certified EMT-B in San Diego County .

Johnny Walter
I grew up in a little town in Southern New Jersey called Haddonfield. Right outside of Philadelphia, PA, so I’ve always had big dreams of becoming a professional anything: Football with the Eagles, Basketball for the 76ers, and baseball with the Phillies.
I managed to go on scholarship to the Pennsylvania State University and started all three years I attended. Was awarded All Big Ten honors along with Academic All American. After Junior year, I was drafted in the 2012 draft in the 29th round by the Kansas City Royals, so I left school early to join their minor leagues. First season I played with the Burlington Royals, a short season rookie ball team, and we went to have a very successful year, only to lose in the final championship game.
I was now a closer (instead of a starting pitcher as I was in college) and posted a 2.63 era with 12 saves. I next attended the Instructional League at the Royals spring training facility in Surprise, AZ and started the 2013 season in an Idaho Falls Chukars uniform after Spring Training (another short season team), but only staying for three days. I then got promoted to Lexington Legends, our single A affiliate, and hope to keep moving up as I mature as a pitcher. Through this whole process, you learn pretty quickly how tired your body gets after a long season.
I’ve never thrown as much as I do in the minor leagues, and I need to keep myself in top physical condition to compete to my fullest extent. The gyroscopic resistance in the Powerball creates the perfect workout for grip strength and shoulder stability. I always finish a workout with the V Power for a nice forearm burn. It has helped with my dexterity and grip strength , which has translated into my game. I also wear the magnetic bracelet every day. I can’t wait to use DFX’s other products! ”

Speed, technique, power and strategy are key elements to become an elite armwrestlers, which includes fast spontaneous split second decisions.
Cross training is so important for hand, grip, wrist, forearm, tendons, finger and arm strength. Every part of the arm plays an important role and these muscles cannot be work with one single exercise or piece of equipment. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the V-power Gyro ball, this ball delivers a smooth 60 pounds of resistance, screaming at 17,000 RPM…
It’s small, it’s portable and it’s powerful and after using the V-Gyro for a short period of time, every part of my arm is on fire, it’s a piece of equipment that can be used in your office or at breaks, it’s the one stop shop in the palm of your hand…A total forearm, wrest and hand work out and I can work out the weaker parts of my forearm or hand, with rotating my hand position. These gyro’s pack a punch and from one champion to another the DFX products are a must if you want to achieve ultimate gains..

Brian Zins
Pro shooter and DFX Pro Staffer Brian Zins is inarguably one of the best shooters in the world. His career has spanned 25 years, from the Marine Corps, the NRA, private security contractor, to multiple national shooting titles. He knows pressure and he knows what it takes to win.
Here is what Brian has to say about his DFX products:
I’m Brian Zins and I am from Poland, Ohio. I’ve won 10 national shooting championships and that pressure never really got to me. The gyro for me was a real life saver I had actually developed a severe case of shooters elbow (aka tennis elbow) a few years back and I took off after the shooting season of 2010. I didn’t shoot for about 18 months up until this shooting year and the only reason I was able to come back as strong as I was is because of that little device, the DFX Powerball. I was able to get my grip strength back I got rid of the pain in my forearm from shooting. I been doing it for a long time and i was really worried it was going to be the end of my shooting career but it was a saving grace. I’ll tell you what the DFX Powerball really helped me out this year and brought me back and actually won me my 11th national championship. I have a DFX Platinum Powerball where you can actually get a visual simulation and visual effect that you can actually pick up and see, the faster you get going the brighter the light gets going and I’ll tell you what that power that you’re feeling back, is amazing! I mean there’s nothing I’ve ever done for forearm or grip training before that…that quick I actually start to get a little bit of that burn. You can just feel the blood coursing through the forearm into the hand and no kidding in just a couple of minutes you start getting a good burn, a real workout like you’ve been doing wrist curls all afternoon.
Brian Zins was raised in Canfield, Ohio. He grew up playing baseball and also learn how to juggle at a young age, both of which he credits for his good hand-eye coordination in shooting. After graduating from high school, Zins went to college to study Law Enforcement. However, he decided to join the United States Marine Corps in 1988.
Military career
After completing the Recruit training program at Paris Island, South Carolina, Zins attended the Military Police School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During that time, he received the Top Gun Award for having the highest qualification score with the M1911 pistol.
Through his career of 20 years at the Marine Corps, Zins served in various capacities, such as:
- Primary Marksmanship Instructor
- Assigned to Weapons Training Battalion in Quantico, Virginia
- Permanent member of the Marine Corps Pistol Team
- Mobile Training Team at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina
- Military Police Patrol Supervisor, Watch Commander, and Hostage Rescue Team’s designated marksman in Iwakuni, Japan (1994)
- Recruiter in the Detroit area for three years
- Doctrine developer with Marksmanship Program Management Section (2004)
- Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of the Pistol Team (2006)
During that time, he participated in various competitions, setting several records:
- 1991, first Lance Corporal to become Pistol Distinguished
- 1992, 2nd Place at the NRA National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio
- 1993-1994, 1st Place at the Inter-service Pistol Championship with the Pistol Team
- 2006, set National Records for the Center Fire 900 and Center Fire Timed Fire
- 2006, tied National Record for the .45 National Match Course
- 2006, 2nd Place at the NRA National Matches
- 2007, set National Record Score for Military Police Corps Trophy
- 10x National Pistol Champion (1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010)
Post-military career
After retiring from active duty in the Marine Corps in 2008, Zins has worked as National Manager of NRA Pistol Programs in the Competitive Shooting division. He also works as an independent security contractor. Zins also started his own line of ammunition called Gunny Zins Ammo. In 2011, he was hired by Cabot Gun Company as spokesman and ambassador.
In 2011, Zins appeared in the second season of History Channel’s marksmen competition Top Shot. During the first half of the competition, Zins competed as part of the Red Team. His team ended up winning six challenges, and Brian was never nominated for elimination during that period.
